Background: Never thought that the wars would touch us in the deep abyss of the sea until the day human fishermen caught my sister & me in their "new" nets. Noticing scuba gear was also within the net, I quickly transformed my fin into legs & was encouraging my sister to do the same. However she was a lot younger than I nor had she ever really had to transform so by the time we were dragged onto the ship the sailors thought I was her current prey. I watched as they brutally slaughtered her, the last of my family, yet the sailors thought I cried from fear & being saved ... I never corrected them even as my sister reached out her hand to me, pleading that I save her. I was told to never use my voice on the surface so I didn't know then that I could have saved my sister & still, years later, the regret of not trying eats me from the inside, the playful girl turned into a bitter woman.
